Valentine’s Day in Hong Kong! Explore the Chocolate Wonderland at Harbour City

From January 23 to March 1, 2015, Harbour City presents its annual major event “Chocolate Trail – A Sweet Quest.” The mall is transformed into “Chocoland” and, for the first time, introduces the “Chocolate Tasting Tour,” allowing visitors to join different “chocolate journeys” based on their preferences. Within “Chocoland,” guests can explore and experience chocolate culture through various methods and sensations, learn about the “Bean-to-Bar” chocolate-making process, and discover how to taste chocolate. Additionally, the event will showcase multiple brands that have won international chocolate awards (The International Chocolate Awards), offering visitors the chance to sample and learn about a variety of chocolates from around the world from different perspectives.

Themed around “Bean-to-Bar,” visitors can join a variety of “Chocolate Tasting Tours” at Harbour City’s “Chocoland,” each tailored for families, chocolate enthusiasts, sweet couples, and more, offering different ways to experience and understand chocolate. These include the large-scale installation “Chocolate Making Workshop,” chocolate workshops and lectures, master chocolate-making demonstrations, as well as chocolate art exhibitions.

To allow for a deeper exploration of the entire chocolate-making process, the ground floor corridor of Gateway Arcade in Harbour City will be transformed into a “Chocolate Making Workshop,” displaying various chocolate-making devices. The process, from cultivating cocoa trees to harvesting, selecting cocoa beans, drying, roasting, and molding, will all be on display. There will also be a Chocolate Experience Zone and the “ChocoVan Café,” where you can become a chocolate expert and taste multiple internationally award-winning chocolate brands.

Whether you’re a chocolate fan or not, you can gain a deeper understanding of chocolate and learn how to truly taste it, as well as discover unexpected pairings. During the event, Harbour City hosts various chocolate workshops and lectures led by chocolate experts and foodies from diverse fields, including chocolate taster Katie Chan and tea master Ji Yuqin from Fu Ming Tang. These sessions aim to offer fresh perspectives on enjoying chocolate.
