In the Southern Izu region at the southernmost tip of the Izu Peninsula, along the Aono River during cherry blossom season, in addition to being perfect for night cherry blossom viewing, the special “Night Sakura 'Meteor'” event was also held. Similar to other "Galaxy Projects" across the country, it creates a dreamy scene as LED glowing orbs float in the river — especially breathtaking with the cherry blossoms as a backdrop.

The entire event takes place between the Raimon Bridge and the Kujō Bridge along the Aono River (approximately 500 meters). The LED glowing orbs are treated as wish-granting meteors — you can purchase them and release them into the river while making a wish. The event lasts about a week, with the orbs released every evening from 18:00 to 20:00. There are also special viewing seats available, as well as wish products such as ema prayer plaques. Shuttle buses are provided between the event site and nearby attractions — be sure to make use of them.
