● Dajia Totoro Village

Dajia District’s Shilin Village is a newly emerged painted village in the Tainan area. Its murals feature the famous cartoon character “Totoro” holding an umbrella while waiting for the bus, along with other beloved characters such as Yuan Zai, Peter Rabbit, Hello Kitty, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Doraemon. There are also LINE’s popular Brown and Cony, favored by today’s “Wan Jun.” With the warm greetings from friendly residents, the village is filled with rural charm. The painted village area continues to expand, so you can still see volunteers painting new murals on red brick walls, bringing even more vibrant colors to Shilin Village.

● Changhua Baibao Village

Changhua Baibao Village was originally an idle old grain warehouse belonging to the Pitou Township Farmers’ Association. Having stood for over sixty years, it was once used to store government grain. Now, the Changhua County Government has renovated one of these historically rich granaries. In addition to preserving its architectural structure, the formerly dull gray building has been repainted in bright, cheerful yellow. The walls feature many interesting illustrations created by popular illustrator Lu’s. Inside the venue, young artists from the floating people collective, including the Floating People Family, and painter Lanny, known for his unique style, incorporate local Changhua characteristics into their respective artistic styles.

● Yunlin Huwei Dingxi Cat Village

Different from painted villages in other towns, Dingxi Community in Huwei, Yunlin, further showcases creativity through 3D art, with the theme “Cats on the Roof,” sparking imagination even before you see it in person.
