The Spring Festival has just passed, and the three-day consecutive holidays are coming up. If you're not ready to let the holiday end just yet, planning a themed trip or a journey to regroup is a great way to go. In recent years, Jimmy Liao’s picture books have started to step out of the pages of books and appear in our cities. There are currently four Jimmy Liao-themed spots in Taipei, including the installation art Really? Really!? at Nangang Railway Station, the subway platform art The Underground at Nangang MRT Station, the bus art The Moon Forgets at Taipei City Hall MRT Station, and the Jimmy Liao brand concept store Story Circle at Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT Station. All can be reached via the BanNan Line on the Taipei Metro. Why not take a metro ride through the city and collect these Jimmy Liao spots along the way?

● Jimmy Liao Brand Concept Store – Story Circle Never Ending Story
The first Jimmy Liao picture book brand concept store officially opened at the end of 2014 in Taipei’s Huashan 1914 Creative Park. Combining elements such as Jimmy Liao’s storybooks, exhibition installations, merchandise design, and dining experiences, it creates a cross-disciplinary cultural and creative platform centered around “reading, traveling, and life.” It aims to expand cross-sector participation through the brand’s ethos and actions, bringing freedom, enthusiasm, care, and hope to society.

Jimmy Liao Brand Concept Store “Story Circle”Never Ending Storyis a place where stories bloom abundantly – an experiential space rich in layers, a creative exchange platform full of surprises, and a gateway to caring for every corner of Taiwan and the world. Each season, the concept store selects a picture book theme, using cross-disciplinary presentations of exhibitions, merchandise, and dining to promote the ideas of “brand experience, cultural platform, and corner exploration,” delivering the emotion of pursuing a beautiful life.

● The Moon Guards the Happy City – Jimmy Liao Bus
In response to Taipei City Government’s “2016 World Design Capital” initiative, Hsinchuang Realty created the large-scale bus installation art “The Moon Guards the Happy City,” themed on the picture book The Moon Forgets. It was unveiled on November 1, 2014, becoming the second major landmark in the Xinyi Planning District. “The Moon Guards the Happy City” is located at the intersection of Section 5, Xinyi Road, and Songzhi Road (diagonally opposite Taipei 101), and is Jimmy Liao’s first installation in Taipei. Using the commonly seen city bus as an element, it allows travelers to take photos outside and even board the bus to explore inside.
