And the Happy Fortune Mushroom House, which has only been available for booking since February 2015, is a four-person room type, located near the lake at Happy Fortune Homestay. Backed by Hualien’s rolling green mountains and the bald cypress forest, the area is surrounded by various kinds of flowers and plants. It consists of interconnected large and small mushrooms, where the “big mushroom” is a two-story indoor space—the upper floor serves as the bedroom, which also has a projector that can cast images onto the ceiling inside the mushroom room, allowing guests to enjoy a movie in a whimsical environment.
