311 Thank Taiwan！Japanese-owned restaurant offers free curry and ramen!

On the fourth anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, many Japanese people still hold heartfelt gratitude toward the generosity of Taiwanese people at the time, expressing their thanks in various ways. Japanese-style restaurants in Taiwan have also launched limited-time “Thank You, Taiwan” events, giving back to Taiwanese customers!

Mr. Ramen’s president, Norio Nozaki, has run a successful business in Taiwan for seven years and has received a lot of help from Taiwanese people. To thank Taiwan for its strong support during the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, on March 11, 2015, all Mr. Ramen branches simultaneously held a gratitude event for Taiwan, generously giving out “Mr. Ramen Free Exchange Coupons” at all locations (four branches in Taipei Gongguan, Tainan Shengli, Zhonghua, and Yiping). Anyone who purchases a bowl of ramen on that day can get a free “Mr. Ramen” on their next visit.

In addition, La Cave Aburi, a Japanese restaurant located in Taipei’s East District on Lane 216, is also grateful for the strong support Taiwanese people gave Japan during its time of need. To express this gratitude, from March 11 to 17, La Cave Aburi launched a “311 Gratitude Week” event, offering free chicken curry and beef curry from 12pm to 5pm daily, with a limit of 300 servings per day.
