Geisha from Kanazawa appear in Beitou！Yokosan Kagaya Launches “Spring Aroma Geisha Banquet”
In the movie *Memoirs of a Geisha*, geishas make their appearance with stunning beauty and exquisite skills at private gatherings, bringing the luxury banquet to a climax. To experience such a visually and gastronomically astonishing feast, you don’t have to go to Japan. At Yokosan Kagaya, a top-tier Japanese hot spring inn in Beitou, you can also enjoy a mysterious and luxurious geisha banquet. From April 30 to May 6, 2015, Yokosan Kagaya launches the “Spring Aroma Geisha Banquet” package, featuring an authentic Japanese kaiseki meal in a tatami private room, along with live performances by geishas from the ancient capital of Kanazawa, Japan.

According to the traditional Japanese geisha custom of “Ikkansan okotowari” (refusing first-time or unfamiliar guests), inviting geishas to appear at a banquet usually requires an introduction through regular patrons. To offer guests a deep cultural experience of Japan, Yokosan Kagaya in Beitou has gone to great lengths to break this barrier by inviting geishas from Kanazawa, Japan, to Taiwan. They not only perform during the kaiseki dinner but also interact with guests through music and instruments.
