In the warmth of April, as spring blossoms flourish, visitors to Baishi Lake are treated to an unexpected snow-like scene. The "April Snow" flowering fringe trees are currently in full bloom near the suspension bridge and around the Heart-to-Heart Pond. Their dense, fluffy blooms cover the treetops, creating a breathtaking snowy-white vista from afar. Flower enthusiasts should plan their visit accordingly to catch this fleeting bloom.

The slender petals of the fringe tree resemble the tassels adorning traditional dresses of ancient ladies, hence its name. Blooming season typically begins in March each year. Amidst the lush greenery of spring, the snow-white, thread-like flowers dot the entire fringe tree. When the wind blows, they scatter like a snowfall, creating a spectacular sight—earning the fringe tree the nickname "April Snow." Beyond the snowy white fringe blossoms, the elegant and dreamy purple chinaberry flowers, with their soft hues, have also begun to bloom abundantly on the branches, swaying gently in the breeze. The purple of the chinaberry intermingles with the white of the fringe flowers, complementing each other beautifully and immersing visitors in a serene and romantic atmosphere. Additionally, firecracker lilies and Taiwanese lilies will soon follow in bloom, making this period a veritable "snow season" at Baishi Lake. Visitors coming to admire the flowers should take their time to fully appreciate the vibrant charm of purple and white in full splendor.

The Baishi Lake Suspension Bridge connects nearby attractions such as the Heart-to-Heart Pond, Guizhui Pond, Husband-and-Wife Trees, and the Spring-Autumn Trail, creating a scenic blend of urban and rural charm. Whether traveling by car or public transport, Baishi Lake is easily accessible and makes for an ideal spot for recreation and leisure. Nowadays, visitors to the area can not only enjoy the floral displays but also take part in strawberry picking.
