Within the park, the pink and purple flowers of Spiranthes sinensis, Mazus pumilus, and Melia azedarach are blooming one after another, heralding the arrival of spring, inviting everyone to come explore Guandu Nature Park, take strolls, snap photos, and capture the beautiful scenery of spring.

Guandu Nature Park points out that the spinning dancer “Spiranthes sinensis” is the most approachable wild orchid, found on grasslands below 1,000 meters in altitude. Its flowering period peaks around the Qingming Festival, hence it is also called the Qingming Grass. Dozens of small flowers are spirally arranged on the flower stem, forming delicate and adorable shapes like spinning skirt dancers, so beautiful they captivate the heart. “Mazus pumilus,” unremarkable as a tiny plant underfoot when not in bloom, is in fact a true harbinger of spring. The gradually lengthening daylight after the Beginning of Spring stimulates the small flower spikes of Mazus pumilus, which then bloom simultaneously across the sunny grassland, making it easy for observant visitors to notice patches of purple floral carpets. Drawn in by the “Mazus pumilus,” one can feel the joy of spring’s arrival from the earth. Additionally, the “Melia azedarach,” which appears as bare branches in the cold winter, bursts into beautiful purple blooms in spring. When resting leisurely under the tree, the gentle breeze brings waves of rich floral fragrance, refreshing the spirit and allowing visitors to truly feel the arrival of spring!
