Enjoy the double delight of tung blossoms and maple leaves—spring’s charm at Tàijí Ridge in Tucheng

In April, tung blossoms continue to bloom, and the Tàijí Ridge Trail in Tucheng District, New Taipei City, has now reached 50% bloom, expected to be in full glory by the weekend. In addition, about 50 Japanese maple trees have been planted on Tàijí Ridge, which have also entered their best viewing period since early April, displaying vibrant red hues. The beautiful crimson of the Japanese maples and the snow-white of the tung blossoms paint the most picturesque spring scene in Taipei!

The Tàijí Ridge Trail is located within the “Lengshuikeng Leisure Park” in Tucheng, close to the urban area of Tucheng District. Every April and May, when tung blossoms are in full bloom around Tàijí Ridge, the serene “Mountain Lake,” along with the well-connected hiking trails of Wénbǐ Mountain, Jiāngjūn Ridge, Wǔchéng Mountain, and Tàijí Ridge, has long served as a backyard garden for Tucheng residents to hike and relax. In recent years, the Tàijí Ridge Trail has also become one of the recommended tung blossom viewing routes during the “Tucheng May Tung Blossom Festival.”
