The opening of the Taoyuan Airport MRT allows travelers to experience both urban and rural scenery along the route within Taoyuan City,passing throughfour administrative districts: Guishan, Luzhu, Dayuan, and Zhongli. To offer visitors a unique travel experience, the Taoyuan City Government is actively developing sightseeing opportunities along the various stations of the Airport MRT. Airport MRT Station A10 Shanbi is located in Luzhu District, near the Dagu Mountain and Kengzi Creek agricultural area, boasting abundant resources including Minnan cultural and historical architecture, pastoral landscapes, and friendly agriculture. For this project, local experts will be invited and private resources combined to jointly develop two community mini-tours, allowing visitors to not only enjoy the convenience brought by the Airport MRT but also find a green, leisurely pace of life right at the MRT stations.

Featured Itinerary 1: A Leisurely Stroll Through Tea-Scented Ancient Houses and Kengzi Creek
Starting from Airport MRT Station A10 Shanbi, the first stop is the _Chiba Mianlang Tong Bi? Nan Pei Can Zao Ju She? Yu? Huo Gang? Zhu? Lin? Niu? Huo? Gan? Xian? Jiao? Nong? Qu?_, featuring well-preserved Minnan-style buildings and lush surroundings. Next, head to the local community park for a relaxing walk, where you can also admire historic train stations that whisper tales of past eras. Then visit the nearby community center, rich with historical ambiance from the mid-20th century. Continue to explore local organic farms, appreciating the natural scenery and experiencing DIY farming fun. Finally, arrive at the Taolu Keng Farm to enjoy the natural landscape, taking home a fulfilling journey filled with tea aroma and cultural heritage.

Featured Itinerary 2: A Relaxed Trip to a Hidden Farm with Farming Experiences in Dagu Mountain
Departing from MRT Shanbi Station (A10), you’ll arrive at Phoenix Hidden Farm, where you can taste herbal tea, watch planes soar across the sky and the MRT glide by, all while soaking in a tranquil atmosphere. Challenge yourself with a workout on the Huangdi Temple and Hengkeng Mountain hiking trails, taking in the sweeping views from the trail platforms. Then, take part in hands-on farming activities and enjoy a specialty lunch at a local organic vegetable farm, truly experiencing the “from farm to table” healthy rural lifestyle. Lastly, visit the historic Dexintang site and the community-created Kengkou Mural Village, where exquisite wall paintings immerse you in the scene and offer great photo opportunities.

Luzhu Kengzi Creek Walking Map – Explore Farms with Ease
In addition to the two mini-tours mentioned above, our bureau has also created the Luzhu Kengzi Creek Walking Map, marking local eco-farms and featured attractions so that those who can’t join the tours can still discover the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Kengzi Creek area at their own pace.

A total of 320 spots for the two mini-tours are available and will go on sale at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 24, 2017. The first departure is scheduled for Saturday, March 11.
