Starting from May each year, golden daylily seas begin to bloom across Taiwan, painting valleys in dazzling swathes of gold. Aside from eastern Taiwan, you can also witness this spectacle in Taichung at the Muxinquan Leisure Farm in Xinshe. With its high elevation and expansive grounds, the farm offers sweeping views of the lush, pristine mountain forests. From May to October each year, it’s peak season for golden daylilies, when the hillsides are covered in swaying golden blooms—a secret spot beloved by photography and flower enthusiasts!

Muxinquan Leisure Farm is situated atop undulating mountain ridges, offering views of verdant forests all around. Especially during sunrise and dusk, the radiant sunlight caressing the land creates especially breathtaking scenery. Starting in May, vast fields of golden daylilies bloom on the farm’s slopes, presenting a stunning sight. The farm grows both lowland and alpine varieties of daylilies—the lowland variety blooms from May to July, while the alpine variety flourishes from August to October. These two varieties take turns blooming like a marathon, allowing more visitors to enjoy the floral splendor across different seasons.
