Millions of roses burst into bloom in a European-style garden, creating a breathtaking scene. The 2015 Huis Ten Bosch Rose Festival in Kyushu, Japan, runs from May 9 to June 8. Over the course of nearly a month, visitors can admire thousands of rose varieties from around the world in gorgeous full bloom!

As a kingdom of flowers, Huis Ten Bosch not only features a pink carpet of Shibazakura in April but also showcases a dazzling sea of roses in May. Starting on May 9, the one-month festival presents Huis Ten Bosch’s famous rose fields, which gather nearly 1,500 varieties and 1.11 million roses from around the world. The spectacular rose displays fill the park with a sweet fragrance. The park has specially designated four major flower-viewing spots—the Square Rose Garden, Rose Palace, Rose Pavilion, and Rose Museum—allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the rose gardens and enjoy a romantic atmosphere. Among these, the Square Rose Garden offers nighttime rose lighting, creating a romantic ambiance completely different from the daytime, as if you’ve stepped into a fairytale-like dream world.
