Shizuoka Prefecture’s Oigawa Railway has launched a summer-exclusive “Cool Beer Train” starting in July. Passengers can enjoy unlimited cold beer, along with complimentary snacks such as grilled chicken, edamame, and yakisoba on the train. If that’s not enough, passengers are also welcome to bring their own drinks or snacks to share with friends.

The summer-exclusive Cool Beer Train has been hugely popular since its inception in 1984 and is now entering its 31st year, making it the pioneer of beer trains in all of Japan！On such hot summer days, riding the Cool Beer Train while enjoying all-you-can-drink draft beer and taking in the beautiful views of the Southern Alps through the window is something to truly look forward to. The Cool Beer Train runs from July 17 to August 22, making round trips between Shin-Kanaya Station and Chūbu-Shirane Station, with a limit of 110 passengers per train. Reservations are required, and if fewer than 70 passengers sign up, the train will be canceled for that day.
