Taiwanese cuisine has once again gained international acclaim. CNN conducted an online poll to determine the world’s top ten food travel destinations, and on the 15th, the results were announced — Taiwan won the championship with an overwhelming 8,242 votes, far surpassing the second-place Philippines with 1,528 votes and third-place Italy... among other countries.

The survey mentioned that Taiwanese cuisine is a fusion of multiple cultures, including Minnan, Teochew, Hakka, and Japanese influences. In Taipei, you can find over 20 streets dedicated to street food, and the ancient city of Tainan is also considered the food capital of Taiwan, where rich and authentic snacks leave a lasting impression. In Tainan, you’ll always find something even more delicious. This survey also highlights how much Asian cuisine is loved by travelers worldwide — out of the top ten countries, eight are from Asia.
