The flower fields in Datong Township, Yilan are in full bloom, covering an area of four hectares with sunflowers, cosmos, and zinnias. In addition to the beautiful flower fields, the area also hosted the “Millet Season” event on June 27. Visitors can witness traditional indigenous blessing ceremonies, enjoy millet-flavored meals, and explore special markets — a rich and fun experience that lets everyone feel the traditional charm of indigenous culture.

Millet is a traditional crop of the Atayal people. Every summer when the millet ears are abundant, the local area celebrates Millet Season to rejoice in the harvest. This year, the Millet Season will be presented as a cultural festival, combined with local tribal tourism. In addition to admiring traditional blessing ceremonies, visitors can also participate in millet-pounding experiences. ]Pi Tribe boasts rich cultural and ecological environments. Now, the riverside park features four hectares of fully bloomed sunflowers, cosmos, and zinnias. The area has also planned eco-tourism routes along with shuttle bus services, inviting visitors to enjoy the flowers and deeply experience indigenous culture.
