Welcoming the arrival of the summer solstice, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has officially launched the “2015 Taiwan Summer Solstice 235” series of events on June 21st this year. To highlight summer solstice food and drinks, this year the Tourism Bureau, in addition to cross-industry collaboration with FamilyMart and Chun Yu Flavor Co., Ltd. to launch a series of products and discounts, has also partnered with the Central Weather Bureau and the local governments and tourism bureaus of four counties and cities — Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Kaohsiung City, and Taitung County — as well as six national scenic area administrations including the East Coast National Scenic Area, Huatung Valley National Scenic Area, Alishan National Scenic Area, Siraya National Scenic Area, Yunlin–Chiayi–Tainan National Scenic Area, and Penghu National Scenic Area, totaling 11 organizations that have jointly launched 13 activities.
