The “2015 New Taipei City Gongliao International Marine Music Festival” kicked off grandly from July 24 to 26, and the lineup of performers was officially announced on June 24. This year’s music festival featured artists such as HUSH, MISS KO葛仲珊, and卢广仲, who kicked off the sea festival on the 24th. Chen Qizhen served as the finale act on the final day. In addition to fully experiencing the passionate vitality of original music, you might as well take the opportunity to thoroughly explore the Northeast Coast. The salty sea breeze and the blue sky and white clouds along the coastline make for a beautiful seascape — the perfect summer vacation destination.

● Old Caoling Tunnel, Magang Ma'ao
The Old Caoling Ancient Trail was recognized at the International Tourism Awards just this past April. Stretching 2,167 meters in length, the Iron Horse Tunnel route combines history, culture, and sightseeing. By cycling along the route, you can experience the railway scenery, connect to the coastal bicycle path, pass through the Shicheng Scenic Area, and even gaze at Guishan Island to take in the beautiful views. The route extends further to the San Diego Cape Lighthouse — the easternmost point of Taiwan — for wave-watching, and allows you to explore the scenic beauty of Ma'ao Fishing Village, known for its stone houses and seasonal seafood!
