FUN4 brings four major theme parks in Hualien to life simultaneously!

Hualien has no shortage of things to do this summer. The region’s “FUN 4” campaign features four major theme parks including a 3D children’s water park, the Dongmen Night Market, Zhikaxuan Green Forest Water Park, and the Pacific Park. These venues span nearly 80 hectares of previously underused or abandoned spaces. After being redesigned and landscaped, they now present a fresh new look along the Pacific’s left bank. A visit to these parks offers a chance to soak up the local vibe and enjoy boundless fun.

● Hualien 3D Children's Water Park

Located in Fenglin Township and covering 22 hectares, this year’s “2015 Hualien Adventure Season – 3D Children’s Festival” lasts for 36 days. The event offers a rich variety of activities including colorful hot air balloon experiences, various water play facilities, and 18 distinctive themed pavilions such as the 3D Art Gallery, Anime & Movie Theater, Building Blocks Hall, Cosplay Zone, Happy Reading Room, and Kids’ Play Area. It’s a fun-filled destination for both adults and children, making it one of the best choices for summer travel in Hualien.

● Dongmen Night Market

Located in downtown Hualien and spanning 9 hectares, the Dongmen Night Market includes the Sunshine Electric City, Fukuten Night Market, Aisle of Provincial Cuisines from Mainland China, and Indigenous Peoples' Street. It showcases the area’s diverse culture and culinary offerings. During the Summer Love Carnival, it draws continuous crowds with long lines at every stall. Internationally renowned 3D art master Tu Long, invited by the county government, personally led the design team to paint and beautify 20 power boxes within the park. The vibrant, three-dimensional colors instantly enlivened the space, attracting many young people to get creative and take fun, quirky photos. The trend quickly went viral on Facebook.
