Supporting characters steal the show: Mr. Potato Head opens a restaurant himself

Supporting characters are stealing the show — not only did the minions from *Despicable Me* get their own spin-off movie, but now even Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head from *Toy Story* have opened the world’s first themed café in Hong Kong, “Mr. Potato Head Café”!

Mr. Potato Head transformed two branches of Izumi Curry — one at V City and another at Mira Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui — into his very own themed café, Mr. Potato Head Café, which officially opened on July 4. On the opening day, Mr. Potato Head himself made a grand appearance, donning an apron and chef’s hat to greet fans, attracting many visitors. The wooden-toned space is filled with lively illustrations of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, creating a warm and bustling family atmosphere. Every seat comes with a thoughtful touch: a pair of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head figurines imported directly from Japan, keeping diners company as they enjoy their meals.
