Located in French Polynesia, Moorea is one of the small islands in the Society Islands' Northern Group. As part of France's overseas territory, the four atolls—Moorea Island, Manuae Atoll, Motu One Atoll, and Maupihaa Atoll—together form the commune of Moorea.
