Hsinchu City's first municipal sports center, and the first outside the nation's six major municipalities, "Xinke Municipal Sports Center," will begin a 14-day trial operation starting July 18. The entire facility will be open for free public trials, with the official grand opening on August 1.

The Xinke Municipal Sports Center is located on the site of Xinke Junior High School. The four-story above-ground, one-story below-ground building houses facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, spa pool, children’s pool, sauna, multi-purpose courts (including basketball and badminton), aerobics studio, fitness center, table tennis room, spin class studio, and community classrooms. Not only are the sports facilities diverse, but the range of sports courses is also quite extensive. To provide everyone with a comfortable exercise space, all venues, equipment, and classes at Xinke Municipal Sports Center operate on a reservation basis.Those interested may make reservations via phone (03-5797929), the official Facebook page, or on-site registration.
