Hsinchu Xinglong Bridge: A Hotspot for Cycling and Jogging with Stunning River Views

The Xinglong Bridge in Hsinchu County was officially completed and opened to traffic in mid-June. It not only alleviates traffic between Zhubei and Hsinchu Science Park but also connects the Zhubei bicycle path with Hsinchu City’s Gongdao 5th Road. From the bridge, you can overlook the view of Highway 68 and even feel the thrill of high-speed trains flying past nearby, making it a new hotspot for cycling and jogging in Hsinchu, where people can freely enjoy a relaxing break on holidays.

After its completion, the Xinglong Bridge was equipped with pedestrian and bicycle lanes, connecting to the riverside bike paths underneath the bridge. It links the north and south banks of the Touqian River’s bicycle network, forming a loop. Riding bikes or jogging here with friends has become a popular sports activity recently. The riverside park next to the Touqian River is also a favorite spot for baseball and softball enthusiasts to play matches and exercise on holidays, swinging bats and passing balls while sweating out the stress and tension of daily work.
