The 2015 Taiwan Cycling Festival kicks off – the Oh Bear painted train hits the tracks

The 2015 Taiwan Cycling Festival has kicked off, and for the first time in collaboration with Taiwan Railways, painted sightseeing trains have been launched on the Jiji and Neiwan lines starting August 5. Then, in mid-August, Chief Oh Bear will also appear on the Pingxi Line’s Taiwan Railways painted sightseeing train to meet everyone. The hope is to leverage Chief Oh Bear’s high popularity to rally everyone to join in the 2015 Taiwan Cycling Festival activities and experience Taiwan’s unique cycling tourism.

In addition, the Tourism Bureau will also roll out a series of gift activities throughout August and September, including the “Everyone Look for Chief Oh Bear” campaign in conjunction with the Taiwan Railways painted trains, upcoming taxi and Taipei MRT outdoor painted advertisements, inviting the public to come together and search for Chief Oh Bear’s cool figure. Take a photo and upload it for a chance to win exclusive prizes.
The round-the-island cycling highway is now complete, spanning the entire island – you can cycle around Taiwan in just nine days.
