2015's Top 10 Most Loved Travel Destinations with Kyoto Taking the Crown

An international travel website conducted a survey among its readers to rank the most popular travel cities for global travelers in 2015. The scoring criteria included local cuisine, culture, friendliness, shopping, and iconic landmarks and scenery. The results revealed that Kyoto, Japan—a city rich in historical and cultural heritage—was ranked as the most beloved travel destination globally. Coming in second was Charleston, South Carolina, USA, while Bangkok, which is also very popular among Taiwanese travelers, secured the 6th place.
