To celebrate the arrival of Qixi Valentine’s Day, the Beimen Crystal Church is set to light up again on the day of the festival, with plans to keep it illuminated for one hour every weekend based on sunset times in the future—allowing every couple to visit Beimen in Tainan and experience a different romantic evening.

Tainan’s Beimen Visitor Center created a new attraction, the “Wedding Paradise” Crystal Church, in 2014. Drawing inspiration from the Sydney Opera House in Australia and the St. Laguna Chapel (Sea Chapel) in Guam, and integrating these crystal church concepts, the romantic and dreamy site quickly attracted many visitors upon its debut—especially enchanting when lit up at night. However, due to the overwhelming popularity and the large influx of tourists drawn by the church's scenery, local residents expressed dissatisfaction. As a result, the Yuntech Management Office specially restricted the church’s lighting, previously only illuminating it during Christmas and Lunar New Year.
