Stiftskeller St. Peter in Salzburg, Austria, was built in 803 AD and has been in operation for over 1,200 years, making it the oldest restaurant in the world.

Stiftskeller St. Peter is located next to St. Peter's Abbey. Originally a wine cellar used by monks, after centuries of existence and numerous renovations and reconstructions, the space still features historic Baroque-style decor and ornate crystal chandeliers. A thousand years of history seem to flow by with the flickering candlelight. This oldest restaurant in the world has "seen it all," serving countless royalty, nobility, and celebrities, including the child prodigy Mozart, who often dined here during his lifetime.

Every week, St. Peter's Restaurant holds a Mozart-themed dinner, where performers dress in period costumes from Mozart’s era and present his famous musical compositions.
