The 2015 National Theater & Concert Hall Summer Jazz Party will kick off on September 18. This year, the event has been specially expanded, featuring six performances over three consecutive days outdoors and three performances in the indoor concert hall. In addition to top Taiwanese jazz musicians, the event also invites female jazz vocalists and master musicians from the United States and Denmark to deliver a spectacular summer jazz feast.

The outdoor jazz party at the National Theater & Concert Hall has been held since 2009 and this year officially marks its 13th edition. The free, fantastic performances attract many domestic and international visitors every year. This year’s event has once again been expanded, featuring six outdoor performances over three days and three indoor shows, creating a cross-indoor-and-outdoor jazz feast that brings together top jazz musicians from both home and abroad. The outdoor performances include jazz diva Tierney Sutton, maverick Wynton Marsalis, and more, as well as local acts such as Mystery Lost Vocals and Infinite Fusion Band, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in the jazz melodies carried by the summer evening breeze.

Starting October 8, for the indoor performances at the National Concert Hall, the organizers have specially invited six-time Grammy Award nominee American jazz singer Tierney Sutton, as well as international music maestro Paquito D’Rivera and 81-year-old Wynton Marsalis, to perform alongside Taiwanese jazz talents such as Huang Ruei-feng and Tung Shun-wen.
