After a 10-year absence, U-Theatre returns to Taroko,under the theme “Dance of Heaven and Earth,”delivering a stunning percussion performance on the Taroko Plateau between the great mountains and seas, opening on October 17with the show “Voices of Taroko.” The local Hsiuling Junior High School Choir will kick things off, followed by performances by U-Theatre featuring pieces such as “Great Drum,” “Gallop,” “Festive Drums,” and “Rock-Crashing.” The audience can even try their hand at drumming, learning the spirit of U-Theatre’s performance firsthand. Then on October 18, the program “Sword of the Brave” conveys a sense of peace and tranquility, reflecting the fear that arises when facing life’s uncertainties—and how to transcend those fears, dispel worries, and regain inner stillness. Performances include “Heavy Rainstorm,” “Vajra King Sword,” “Crossing the River,” “Roaring Lion on the Ground,” and “Heart of the Sword.”

The Taroko Gorge Music Festival creates an opportunity for nature, music, and people to meet, bringing music back to nature—letting you hear the sounds of heaven in the wild, and see nature through music. The event is currently under active preparation, and free shuttle transportation will be provided. Everyone is invited to come to Taroko and enjoy this rich musical feast.
