Taiwan Rail’s 8 Stunning Autumn-Winter Cruise-Style Train Itineraries Featuring the National Palace Museum Southern Branch

Want to go on a trip but not sure how to arrange it? From October to December this year, Taiwan Rail has launched eight distinctive “cruise-style train travel packages.” In addition to previously popular destinations such as the Bei Lang Boulevard in Chihshang, Taitung, and Luye Plateau, this time they’ve also included unique spots like the Alishan Forest Railway. Moreover, on December 31st, there’s a special itinerary to visit the National Palace Museum Southern Branch and welcome the sunrise at Alishan — a great choice for travelers who usually can’t find time to plan trips.

● Serene Linmei & Lush Farming Experience

Departing from Changhua Station and heading to Toucheng, Yilan. Stops include Yingge Station to visit the Ceramic Old Street and soak in its historic ambiance; then head to Sijhih for a cultural experience before moving on to Daxi for its old street and peach culture. Next is Ruifang Station to admire the beauty of the old iron bridge, followed by Fangye Station — which has no platform — and Taimali Station where you can personally experience the joy of harvesting. On the next day, visit Zhiben Forest Recreation Area at Zhiben Station, Taiwan’s most beautiful station at Dalin, and the F3 Art & Cultural District in Fangliao.

Departing from Hsinchu Station to explore attractions along the Yilan and East Coast lines.
