● Taipei Mandarin Oriental Hotel

Taipei Mandarin Oriental Hotel, led by Chef Huang Tianwu with 40 years of experience, has exclusively launched top-tier handcrafted Hong Kong-style egg custard mooncakes. Each mooncake is entirely handmade with meticulous attention to ingredient selection, offering a taste distinctly different from mass-produced ones. The chef has also added his unique touch by incorporating premium ingredients into the rich custard filling using a traditional yet elaborate method, resulting in four innovative flavors that stand apart from conventional five-nut or lotus seed paste mooncakes. The box design reflects the phases of the moon, showcasing elegance and refined taste. Each box contains 8 mooncakes in 4 flavors: Abalone and Matsutake Egg Custard, Aged Ginseng Egg Custard, Jinhua Ham Egg Custard, and Pumpkin Seed and Mung Bean Egg Custard, priced at NT$2,388.

● Taipei Caesar Park Hotel

This year, Taipei Caesar Park Hotel offers seven different flavors of Cantonese-style mooncakes, including three hidden-moon yolk mooncakes in date paste, red bean paste, and mushroom braised pork flavors, as well as the savory XO sauce mooncake. There are also three creative flavors: berry green tea, chestnut coffee, and red bean milk. Each flavor brings its own unique taste. The design of this year’s mooncake gift box centers on “Celebrating Mid-Autumn, Praising the Moon,” using classic verses by Su Shi that convey Mid-Autumn blessings. The red and gold color scheme exudes luxury and elegance. Different flavors come in matching premium gift boxes, available as the ‘Mid-Autumn Imperial Collection: Moon Poetry & Heart’ and ‘Mid-Autumn Classic Collection: Moon Poetry & Affection.’ Both sets are uniformly priced at NT$1,080.

Additionally, if you're looking for alternatives to mooncakes, premium Japanese gift brand YOKU MOKU has introduced a [Brand-New Mid-Autumn Limited Edition Packaging] for 2015, inspired by the imagery of ‘blooming flowers and a full moon.’ The deep blue night sky is dotted with shimmering stars, highlighting the pure, radiant moon, surrounded by a warm, petal-like glow.
