Taiwan Tourist Bus exceeds 100 routes, promoting smart and hassle-free travel

The "Taiwan Tourist Bus" has surpassed 100 routes, benefiting both domestic and international travelers who prefer light tourism, while also upgrading convenience with smart travel services. The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has been guiding travel agencies to launch the "Taiwan Tourist Bus" package tours since 2004, and to date, over 1.85 million people have participated. Whether domestic or international visitors, when choosing light travel in Taiwan, most immediately think of the "Taiwan Tourist Bus," and after their trips, they highly commend the overall quality of the service.

Deputy Director Liu Xilin of the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications stated that the primary goal of the "Taiwan Tourist Bus" is service quality, followed by increasing ridership. Therefore, in recent years, the "Taiwan Tourist Bus" has seen significant improvements in both hardware and software. Chairman Lü Weide of the "Taiwan Tourist Bus Association" also praised the inclusion of smart travel services, saying it's like evolving into a version 2.0, which also drives an upgrade in quality.

According to statistics from the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, nearly 60% of "Taiwan Tourist Bus" passengers are international tourists. Therefore, starting this year, all "Taiwan Tourist Bus" services are equipped with audio guides in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. Passengers can freely choose information about scenic spots and travel details along the route according to their needs. Foreign tourists can overcome language barriers, get closer to Taiwan’s local culture, make travel borderless, and enjoy free Wi-Fi during the tour, allowing them to share Taiwan’s beautiful scenery with the world through the internet and social media, thus bringing Taiwan and the world closer together.

The "Taiwan Tourist Bus" now offers over 100 travel routes and has introduced its first-ever island-wide loop route, making it more convenient to explore Taiwan’s unique attractions. Destinations such as Yilan, Northeast Coast, Yehliu, Tamsui, Taichung, Lukang, Sun Moon Lake, Kaohsiung, Kenting, Taroko, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu are all easily accessible. In addition to offering a variety of recreational experiences such as DIY activities, the "Taiwan Tourist Bus" also allows travelers to fully enjoy local delicacies.
