The reputedly most powerful Korean BBQ restaurant, Shin Mabu Gwi, is making its way to Taiwan for its first overseas branch opening. With 500 locations around the world, Shin Mabu Gwi is known for its tender grilled meats, charming ring-shaped omelets, and flavorful Korean bibimbap, making it one of the must-visit restaurants for many when they travel to Korea.

 The first Taiwanese outlet of Korea’s Shin Mabu Gwi will be located in the alleyways along Yanji Street in Taipei’s East District. All equipment, sauces, and grilling techniques have been authentically imported from Korea to offer the most genuine and delicious Korean BBQ experience. The must-try signature dishes are “Gwi Meat” and “Ring-shaped Omelet.” The so-called “Gwi Meat” refers to pork diaphragm, also commonly known as dried pork belly in Taiwan. In addition, the staff will prepare a “ring-shaped omelet” in the grooves around the circular grill plate, using an egg mixture blended with kimchi—offering not only the sweetness of eggs but also a subtle tangy-spicy flavor from the kimchi.
