In May 2014, a 95-meter-long waterslide appeared in Bristol, UK. Artists Luke Jerram and local organizations collaborated to offer the public a fresh perspective on the town. The one-day event attracted over 70,000 participants—both locals and tourists—who thoroughly enjoyed Bristol. Now, this spirit of showcasing town charm is coming to Jiji, Taiwan, with the launch of “Slide Through Town.”

Glide through the Green Tunnel from a different angle and rediscover Jiji Township. The organizers chose a small town rather than a big city to allow more travelers to deeply explore Jiji. Jiji is not just about its small train—it also offers mountain bananas, handmade guitar shops, the only remaining traditional snake kiln, and Taiwan’s first wildlife emergency rescue station—hidden gems of Jiji.

Tickets for the “Slide Through Town” waterslide event are sold online. For NT$799, you can enjoy unlimited rides for two hours and become a Town VIP, receiving an exclusive passport and surprise gifts from around the town as you explore its unique cultural sights. Only 2,000 spots are available over the two days.
