The first phase (September 1–14) is fully booked. The café will be closed on September 15 and 16. Bookings for September 17–October 1 were also reportedly fully booked after phone and online reservations opened on September 11. Fans eager to visit will have to wait until the official opening in the first half of October. The Rilakkuma Café does not accept walk-ins or on-site waiting; only phone reservations are accepted. Be sure not to show up at the restaurant without a booking, as you may end up going home disappointed.

During the trial operation phase, the adorable interior design and oversized Rilakkuma plush toys at the Rilakkuma Café have fans exclaiming how cute they are and taking lots of photos. Merchandise and takeaway Rilakkuma macarons are only available for purchase by customers who book by phone and dine in—currently, they are not available for direct purchase inside the store.

The Rilakkuma Café will review and improve issues encountered during the trial operation phase, aiming to deliver even more satisfying service and menu items upon official opening. The cartoon-themed café continues to generate buzz in the East District and has become a must-visit spot for overseas tourists traveling to Taipei. Fans hoping to secure a table will need to first pass the test of patiently booking by phone.
