Pedaling Through Golden Paradise: Chihshang’s Bike & Picnic Day

The Double Ten holiday is the perfect time to visit Chihshang and admire the rice waves. On October 10th, Taitung’s Chihshang will launch the “Pedal & Picnic in Hualien & Taitung” event, combining cycling and a picnic. Registration is open for 1,200 visitors to enjoy the beautiful countryside scenery together.

The “Pedal & Picnic in Hualien & Taitung” event is jointly organized by the Hualien-Taitung Valley National Scenic Area Administration and the Chihshang Township Office. Themed around a valley cycling picnic day, it invites everyone to come for a picnic in the fields. Registered participants can cycle through the Broad Avenue, Heaven’s Road, Takeshi Kaneshiro Tree, Chihshang Sky River, and the Camphor Green Corridor along Provincial Highway 20A, before heading to Dapo Pond for a picnic and live music. The event is completely free, but advance online registration is required to enjoy this relaxing cycling mini-trip.
