 “The Nation’s Ballad Queen” Ding Dang has lived alone in Taipei for many years, experiencing a wealth of emotions that have left deep impressions on her heart. She is set to release her first lifestyle book, 《Ding Dang: The Taipei Life I Fell In Love With》. With four major chapters, 68 carefully selected perfect food, drink, play, and shopping mini-trips, and five styled walking routes, the book takes readers into her personal Taipei life diary. The new book will be released nationwide in Taiwan on 10/1, in Hong Kong on 10/20, in Macau on 10/25, and in Malaysia and Singapore on 10/23.

Nine years in Taipei have made Ding Dang a typical local. Riding the metro, cycling a YouBike, and strolling through Taipei’s alleys to discover warm and welcoming spots, she shares places she’s personally visited. Staying true to her down-to-earth nature, she opens up about her daily feelings and hidden gems in Taipei, inviting readers into her life story. The book includes routes for romantic dates, favorite eateries for best friends, beauty tips for budget-conscious girls, and healing solo trips. Early in her time in Taiwan, she had a “metro encounter” — a bespectacled, bare-faced Ding Dang was once approached by a university student asking for her Facebook. Reflecting on this years later, she laughed and said, “The metro can be a place for love encounters too!”

Making her first appearance on the music challenge show 《The Masked Singer》, the highly anticipated “Black Swan” Ding Dang, though she didn’t win the finals, impressed audiences and judges with her standout performance. Competing alongside music icons gave her invaluable experience. Ding Dang has used her talent to reintroduce herself as a singer who pours her soul into every note. She said, “I’m willing to keep singing for everyone. I’m still that Black Swan who sings with her whole heart.”

Additionally, three celebratory book signing and ticket events — “I Love You Practice Song – Turns Out You’ve Always Been There” — are planned across northern, central, and southern Taiwan, where fans who scored tickets to the concert and book can meet their idol. The Taipei venue is specially chosen to be the Huashan Big Lawn, letting attendees enjoy the rich pleasures of reading about picnics and music on the grass as introduced in the book.
