The Daxue Mountain Forest Recreation Area sits at an altitude between 1,800 and 2,900 meters and lies within a prevalent cloud and fog belt. Its misty seas of clouds, reminiscent of ink-wash paintings, are one of the area’s most distinctive features. Especially at the 48K Pass Viewpoint, you can gaze upon undulating mountain ridges, taking in a variety of magnificent sights all at once—the ever-changing sunrise, the majestic sea of clouds, and the dazzling hues of sunset.
