The wives of the owners of both Itoya branches are Taiwanese, so there are quite a few Taiwanese working here as part of work-exchange programs. Visiting a lodging where you can hear Chinese spoken makes the journey feel a lot more reassuring.

Waraku-an is a renovation of a 100-year-old traditional Japanese building.
