The Lily Sea in Houli Bursting into Bloom—Free Admission on Weekends

To promote local floral culture, the Houli Farmers' Association in Taichung is hosting the "What a Floral Splendor" event on November 28 and 29. In addition to viewing nearly 40 varieties of blooming lilies, the event will feature activities such as plein air sketching and flower arranging lessons, all set against the backdrop of the lily fields. During the event period, admission to the lily sea area is free, offering visitors another great spot to enjoy flowers besides the Xinshe Flower Sea on weekends.

Due to the warmer autumn and winter this year compared to previous years, the lilies—which usually bloom in early November—have delayed their blossoming by over half a month. The "What a Floral Splendor" event on November 28 and 29 will showcase more than 30 varieties of lilies, including perfume lilies, tiger lilies, and dwarf lilies, along with activities such as sketching contests, flower arrangement workshops, and interactive games. Take advantage of the two days of free entry to visit and enjoy the scenery. In addition, various other flowers are in full bloom across the park, and the expansive 5-hectare colorful flower field is definitely not to be missed.
