Rice paddies turned into a maze? To promote local rice, the Zhudong Township Farmers' Association is holding a lively Rice Paddy Carnival this Saturday (December 5). Before the rice harvest, they’ve created a massive 600-ping "rice paddy maze" and are inviting both adults and children to take on the challenge. The event will also feature activities such as clay pot cooking and obstacle courses—super fun!

The Zhudong area cultivates rice across 750 hectares, making it an important granary in Hsinchu County. This year, the Rice Year Carnival has been expanded, featuring a large rice paddy maze to challenge visitors. While enjoying the fun of the maze, there will also be parent-child obstacle course activities to help both kids and adults learn more about rice cultivation and gain a deeper appreciation for the hard work of farmers. The Zhudong District Farmers' Association stated that the rice used to create the maze will be harvested in a week, so come experience this limited-time “getting lost” adventure.
