Treehouses often come with romantic, childlike imaginings. Even though people around the world live in different environments and circumstances, they seem to share this common dream. In Tennessee, USA, there is the world’s largest treehouse — four stories high and reaching 30 meters, supported by just six oak trees. Though it wasn’t built with a specific plan in mind, it features well-designed spaces including a church, a basketball court, and as many as 80 rooms, leaving visitors amazed.

The world’s largest treehouse is located in the forest of Crossville, Tennessee. It was built over 14 years by Reverend Horace Burgess, hence it is called the “Pastor Treehouse” or the “Horace Burgess Treehouse.” According to Burgess, the initial inspiration to build the treehouse came from what he believed to be divine guidance during prayer.
