First in Taiwan！A 6.6-meter-tall super-cute Love God appears in Tainan’s salt fields

Taiwan’s largest Love God debuts at Qigu Salt Mountain！To celebrate Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Day, Qigu Salt Mountain has created a giant Love God installation art piece on the main hill and invested over NT$3 million to cover the mountain with white salt, giving it a fresh new look. Paired with a series of Love God-themed activities and promotions, it’s set to become an unmissable happy destination！Qigu Salt Mountain always creates “big” surprises every year, and this time it’s presenting Taiwan’s largest Love God to spread love and peace, wishing everyone a happy welcome to 2016.

Qigu Salt Mountain is a well-known spot for praying for good relationships and fortune. This year, it goes romantic by creating a chubby, pure-white Love God angel, 7 meters long and 6.6 meters tall, lying on the salt mountain with its hands propping up its cheeks as it gazes at every visitor. Its wing feathers flutter in the wind, spreading a message of love in an adorable pose. Together with the newly salt-covered and refreshed mountain, it creates the theme “Fate (Salt) Loves the Love God, Happiness Spreads (Salt),” which will be on display until the end of March 2016. Taiwan Salt says the Love God is not only cute in appearance, but its wings are made of eco-friendly stone paper, layered piece by piece. When the wind blows, they dance like real feathers, lifelike and vivid. It not only conveys the concept of caring for the Earth but also holds artistic value, making it quite a sight to see.

Starting now, the first wave of Love God-themed programs has been launched, including “Love in the Salty Air”—writing New Year’s wishes on feather cards at the Fate House, and “Double Discounts with Frosty Treats”—discounts on coffee and ice cream, among other activities. There are even more surprises on-site to make everyone happily welcome the New Year.
