Tokyo Disneyland Unveils Special New Year's Greeting Costumes of Mickey and Minnie in Kimono

The limited-time New Year’s greeting special performance event runs for just five days (January 1 to January 5). New Year’s special merchandise went on sale starting November 13, 2015, and special New Year’s meals were available from December 25, 2015. In line with the Year of the Monkey (Shen), a monkey doll charm of Abu was also released. The Mickey and Minnie kimono couple dolls are popular items, and the Mickey daruma popcorn bucket has become a must-buy collectible for fans.

A total of about 60 types of New Year celebration goods began going on sale in mid-November. Starting December 26, the Disney hotels within the park also introduced special set meals featuring decorations such as kadomatsu (New Year’s pine decorations) and daruma, adding to the festive New Year’s atmosphere.
