The well-known aviation evaluation website AirlineRatings.com has announced the latest flight safety assessment results, with EVA Air once again standing out with excellent performance to be ranked among the world’s safest airlines. It joins other internationally renowned carriers such as Qantas, All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and Air New Zealand on the list of “World’s Safest Airlines.” This marks the third time EVA Air has made the list.

EVA Air has previously been awarded titles such as “Top Ten Best Airlines” and “Top Ten Best Cabin Service Airlines” by this evaluation website. This latest recognition as one of the world’s safest airlines further affirms its excellence in both flight safety and service quality.

This year’s evaluation covered 407 airlines worldwide. Using seven criteria—including compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization regulations, civil aviation authority audit results, and airline safety records—the initial screening was conducted. A second rigorous evaluation then assessed factors such as fleet operations, maintenance standards, and safety records to select the world’s safest airlines.

AirlineRatings’ seven key flight safety evaluation criteria:
1. Passed the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit and certification.
2. Meets European Union aircraft maintenance and regulatory safety standards and is not on the EU’s “blacklist” of banned airlines.
3. No fatal accidents involving passenger fatalities in the past ten years (excluding terrorist attacks).
4. The civil aviation authority of the airline’s home country, if operating flights to the U.S., has passed the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety audit.
5. The airline’s home country civil aviation authority complies with 8 major safety categories under the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP).
6. Has never been ordered to suspend flights by aviation authorities due to safety issues.
7. The airline’s fleet does not consist entirely of Russian-made aircraft.
