Spring Festival Flower Madness: Over 30 Hectares of Blooming Flowers in Miaoli

In 2016, with the arrival of the Lunar New Year, the Miaoli County Government has prepared a “Winter–Spring Flower Viewing Area,” setting up approximately 30 hectares of flower fields in Nanzhuang Township, Houlong Township, Tongxiao Township, and Yuanli Township. The flowers include cosmos, yellow cosmos, marigold, and sunflower, expected to bloom gradually from late January to early February 2016.

● Nanzhuang Township
Flower Viewing Location: Miaoli Route 124B in Nanzhuang Township
Flower Species: Cosmos, Sunflower
Area: Approximately 6 hectares
Expected Blooming Period: Late January 2016

● Houlong Township
Flower Viewing Location: Next to High-Speed Rail Route 6 and Provincial Highway 126 in Houlong Township
Flower Species: Cosmos
Area: Approximately 8 hectares
Expected Blooming Period: Late January 2016

● Yuanli Township
Flower Viewing Location: Outer Ring Road at the Foot of the Mountain in Yuanli Township, Miaoli Route 43, and next to the High-Speed Rail line
Flower Species: Cosmos, Yellow Cosmos, Marigold, Sunflower
Area: Approximately 14 hectares
Expected Blooming Period: Early January 2016

● Tongxiao Township
Flower Viewing Location: Under the High-Speed Rail Bridge on Miaoli Route 121 in Tongxiao Township
Flower Species: Sunflower
Area: Approximately 2 hectares
Expected Blooming Period: Early February 2016
