Daylight Onsen Festival Special Offer: 11 Hotels Offering Free Hot Springs

In the northwestern part of Tochigi Prefecture, the city of Nikko will host the “Nikko-Kinugawa Onsen Festival” from February 6 to February 29, 2016. During the event, hotels are offering special New Year’s cuisine along with free hot spring bathing services. Guests staying at the hotels can also receive special gifts, while various tourist facilities are providing discounted admission. It’s a great opportunity to visit Japan during this period and experience the unique charm of the Nikko-Kinugawa Onsen hot spring town.

The Kinugawa Onsen town, part of the Nikko National Park, has a history of over 300 years and is one of the most representative hot spring resort destinations in the Kanto region of Japan. During the “Nikko-Kinugawa Onsen Festival,” a foreign tourist information desk offering Chinese and English travel consultation services will be set up at Kinugawa Onsen Station. From February 8 to 14, foreign tourists will also receive a “Free One-Day Sightseeing Bus Pass” for the Kinugawa Onsen area, and various hotels are offering free shuttle bus services.
