Fans were surprised to learn that the Zhudong branch of Charlie Brown Café has closed down.

Once expanding ambitiously northward with its second branch located in Hsinchu, Charlie Brown Café ceased operations in Hsinchu after just a year and a half on March 5. The official announcement was very low-key, with no special notice posted on the official Facebook page or website—only the listing of the Hsinchu branch was removed from the store locations page. This has left many fans feeling disappointed.

The Hsinchu branch of Charlie Brown Café began trial operations on October 1, 2015, and officially opened on October 13. The second Charlie Brown Café branch, located in Hsinchu’s Big City Mall, was themed around “American sports style.” Currently, Charlie Brown Café still operates branches in Kaohsiung Arena and Taichung ChaoMa.
