Houses built upside down are no longer just a dream. The inverted house trend, which originated in countries like Russia, Germany, and Japan, has now swept Taiwan. The debut of the “Inverted House Special Exhibition” at the National Science and Technology Museum features six major themes: the Upside-Down Inverted House, the Distorted LOL House, the Joyful Game Treehouse, the Lovely Mushroom House, the Mysterious Dwarf House, and the Colorful Candy House. This exhibition combines art, visual effects, playfulness, and boundless imagination—perfect for family outings and fun for all ages!

“The house is upside down!” This phrase echoes throughout the exhibition hall, drawing gasps of amazement from both adults and children. The “Inverted House Special Exhibition” shatters conventional perceptions of house space, presenting an inverted cross-section of a home—with rooftops and beams all topsy-turvy. It also features bold European-style designs that dazzle the eye. With its optical illusions, you can snap hilarious photos that make it look like you’re walking on walls or floating in space—perfect for letting your creativity run wild!

The exhibition includes two special themed areas: [Game Treehouse] and [LOL House]. The [Game Treehouse] is a mysterious tree hollow surrounded by oversized plants and giant ladybugs to create an enchanting atmosphere. Kids can experience a forest suspension bridge, a sponge ball pit, and a swing in the autumn rain here.

Another highlight, the [LOL House], is also great for family fun. In the [LOL House], all windows and doors are twisted and distorted. Once inside, funhouse mirrors continuously warp your reflection, making your body appear to enlarge, shrink, twist left, or sway right—guaranteed to spark lots of laughter. Don’t forget to tackle the Mirror Maze inside the LOL House, where layers of mirrored images create confusing illusions of left and right, reality and illusion. Visitors, don’t get lost inside!
