Popular Accommodation Hot Picks! List of 150 High-Value Hotels Released

The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications held an online voting event titled “The Heroes of Accommodation: Fighting Back Against Daily Rentals,” which closed at dawn on January 7, 2016. A total of 172 accommodations across Taiwan with 428 legal rooms competed for a spot on the Heroes of Accommodation list, with nearly 300,000 total votes cast. A total of 150 rooms were honored as super-popular accommodations.

The “Heroes of Accommodation: Fighting Back Against Daily Rentals” event, after a month-long fierce competition, garnered nearly 300,000 total votes. The final list of accommodation heroes is divided into three price segments:“1999UnderNT$1,999 – Value Beyond Compare,“2000-2999NT$2,000–2,999 – Premium Selection,“3000Over NT$3,000 – Popular and In Demand, with a total of 150 rooms selected as the public’s favorite popular accommodations. Among them, “Taipei Xiyu Hotel – Youth Travel Room Type,” “Kaohsiung Tongmao Songbai Grand Hotel – Deluxe Room,” and “Blue Sky Lichi Hotel – Classic Room” were the most favored by netizens. Looking at the full Heroes of Accommodation list, you can find everything from exotic styles, stargazing and ocean-view experiences, eco-friendly and clean stays, sunrise-welcoming rooms, hot spring baths, to budget-friendly youth hostels—offering a rich variety of refined experiences.

This voting event was divided into price segments, with three main categories: “Under NT$1,999 – Value Beyond Compare,” “NT$2,000–2,999 – Premium Selection,” and “Over NT$3,000 – Popular and In Demand,” aiming to uncover safe and high-quality accommodations. Among them, businesses holding the “Star-Rated Hotel” or “Friendly Homestay” labels emerged as the biggest winners of this Heroes of Accommodation list. The star-rated hotels that made the list include: Kiwi Express Hotel, Jia’s Design Hotel, HOTEL Jinshan Bay Hot Spring, 168 Hotel, Xiyu Hotel – Taipei Branch, Atami Hotel, Guan Ge Business Hotel, Blue Sky Lichi Hotel, Hong Sheng Xin Business Hotel, Cloud Boutique Hotel, and 41 other star-rated hotels. The friendly homestays that made the list include: Provence Countryside Homestay in Nanzhuang, Love House Vacation Villa, Watanabe Forest Garden Homestay, Liuse Hai Homestay, Yunxin Hai Homestay, Mt. Taitung Muquan Boutique Homestay, Beautiful Life Homestay, Cliffside Homestay, Crescent Moon Spring Homestay, and Shuitou No. 40, among 36 other friendly homestays. Each room has its own unique character, showcasing the rich variety of choices in Taiwan’s accommodations.
